Fellside Blue Grey

Fellside Blue Grey is without doubt one of the finest imported Natural Slates available in the UK market. The mid blue grey colour is further enhanced by the non shiny matt surface which has a good vertical graining and edge detailing, giving the look of our indigenous quarried slates.

As you would expect from a higher specification slate, the Fellside Blue Grey slate fully complies with the requirements of BSEN12326.

As you can see from the test results the water absorption at 0.14% is exceptional, this combined with the high characteristic modulus of rupture figure gives a slate which is highly durable and suited to our harsh weather conditions. This is backed by the quarry’s own  guarantees of up to 75 year.

The natural characteristics of the raw stone allows it to split consistently at a required thickness making it a firm favourite with professional slaters across the country.
